Senior Storage Engineer

Location: Anywhere in the US

Description: The Subject Matter Expert (Level 3 Engineer) troubleshoots and diagnoses enterprise storage hardware and operating system problems. This is a senior engineering position so we are looking for someone who can provide deep technical support storage expertise and to contribute to the ongoing technical development of our current engineering team. The position is full-time, salaried non-exempt (overtime paid at time-and-a-half rate) with a paid on-call component to the job.

Qualifications:

  • 5yrs+ of SAN routers/switches (Brocade, Mc Data, CISCO, Juniper etc.) troubleshooting experience, preferably with enterprise level design/architecture, and implementation experience.
  • 3yrs+ working with EMC, HDS, NetApp and StorageTek mid-level to enterprise devices.
  • 3yrs+ working with Solaris, AIX, HP-UX, ACSLS, Linux or VMWare operating systems administration.
  • Detailed knowledge of RAID, SCSI, SAN and NAS concepts.
  • Advanced storage problem isolation and resolution skills.
  • Experience performing troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Experienced with OEM software tools supporting array management.
  • Experienced with OEM array reporting tools.
  • Symantec Net Backup experience is a plus.
  • Business continuity and disaster recovery planning experience is a plus.
  • Expertise in creating remote monitoring tools / call home tools is a plus.

Technical Account Manager (ASE - Account Support Engineer)

The Account Support Engineer is the central point of contact for coordination and delivery of all TERiX support services. The ASE shall also perform many of the proactive services described below.
